We are Rudolph (40) and Gordon (44) and have been together since 2013 (about 10 years). We have a beautiful home in Coquitlam, BC (Canada) with a very cuddly 7 year old munchkin cat named Gadget. We met and began dating in Vancouver, BC after finding each other online. Since then, we’ve built an amazing life together with prospering careers, wonderful friends, and a warm and loving home.
Although we’ve been together since 2013, we only just recently married in a simple ceremony at the water’s edge of beautiful Buntzen Lake in Anmore, BC in October of 2020. The chosen date holds a significant meaning to us, as approximately one year prior, Gordon was involved in a near fatal car crash that almost claimed his life. Although this tragedy was awful, it reminded us of how lucky we are to have one another and how precious life really is. We chose to wed on its one year anniversary in order to transform that tragic event into one with a positive and beautiful outcome.

Though we both come from different backgrounds with distinct personalities, we’ve found that our individual strengths really complement one another to make us an amazing duo. Rudolph is a leader and planner with a goal-focused, logical mind. He has a passion for continuous improvement and self-development and has been the driving force behind our growth together as a couple. Gordon is kind-hearted, easygoing and a practical DIYer. He’s really passionate about physical fitness and exercise and doesn’t mind getting his hands dirty to get things done.
Individually, we both have our own interests or passions - like Rudolph with financial investment market research, and playing strategic, competitive online video games, and Gordon with physical fitness and PC software and hardware technologies. Together, we both love to cook and discover new recipes online. We’re always keeping our favorites and adding them to our own little family cookbook. We also enjoy unwinding with friends on the patio, or enjoying the BBQ on a beautiful summer day, or just kicking back and relaxing on the couch with Gadget and a great show on TV. Although we don’t travel much, we try to squeeze in a little sightseeing when we do, and we love taking in the local foodie favorites where ever we go. We love our time we spend together ; learning French with plans to travel to Europe again in the future, on the PC playing co-operative role-play games, or just relaxing back at home.
I’m a pretty quiet and introverted person, though a lot less so now than when I was a kid. It’s probably part of the reason I was drawn to computers and technology while growing up.
I developed a real interest and aptitude for computer programming and PC electronics which led me to attending Fanshawe College for diplomas in Information Technology and Business Information Technology Systems. From there, I further attended the University of Western Ontario (UWO) for my Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science. I’m currently employed as a Public Servant (Electronics Specialist) and I love my career.
I also love being physically fit and exercising daily at the gym, improving my overall health through various routines including weight resistance, endurance and flexibility training. I enjoy working with my hands and tinkering on projects in the garage to help improve our home, or digging into the newest personal or PC software and hardware technologies. I’ve really come to love cooking and discovering new recipes too - something I would have never picked up if it weren’t for finding Rudolph.
Like Gordon, I’m a little bit introverted, though the less so of us two.
I have a very enthusiastic mind when it comes to the world’s economies and financial sectors, stock market research and investment strategies, and personal budgeting and family financial planning. I’ve earned my Bachelor of Business Administration (Honours) from the British Columbia Institute of Technology (BCIT), and Chartered Professional Accountants (CPA) and Chartered Accountants (CA) designations. I’m currently employed as a Financial Controller and I love the pace and opportunities my career presents.
I’m very passionate about learning, personal growth and self-development. I firmly believe that everyone should set goals and continuously strive to improve themselves, and each other, in both our professional and personal lives. Learning French together is only one of the latest challenges I’ve pushed for our family to undertake - like showing Gordon that there is more to cooking than simply cracking open a can of pasta :)
I also enjoy competing in online PC strategy games like League of Legends, or relaxing at home and parties we love to throw at our home for family, friends, and colleagues.
My name is Gadget, or Gadgety-Gadget if I’m being silly and stirring up some trouble. I joined the family in 2016 just shortly after Rudolph and Gordon moved into their new home in Coquitlam, BC (Canada).
I love to spend my days playing with my favourite toys, splashing water in the bathroom sink, or chirping at the window while I watch the birdies dance in the trees around our home. If you can’t find me playing or kicking up some trouble around the house, then I’m likely taking a little cat nap - though not too far from Gordon or Rudolph, as I prefer to be close by. At night I like to cuddle up between them at the head of the bed … just in case they wake and need a kitty to purr them back to sleep :)
